Notice anything different today?! No SiPap!!! Today Brittany arrived in the NICU to find the best birthday surprise ever, they had taken Beckham off of SiPap and are letting him breathe completely on his own. As of about 8pm tonight he was still doing great without it and they were going to let him have his new freedom overnight. Hope he continues to do well, so he can keep it off for good.
This was the first time we've gotten to see all of his face, without a hat, breathing tubes, face mask, sunglasses, or anything else blocking our view. Although he still looks like a little baby mouse, he's starting to look a little more chunky in the cheeks and is gaining weight now. Today he weighed in at a whopping 2 lbs 3 oz!
Beckham finally opened up both eyes on 3/12/11, but today was the first time we were able to get a picture of them both open. He looks like he's having the time of his life. I think he's just celebrating having such a good day on his mommy's birthday.
Yay Yay Yay Yay Yay! What a blessing of a birthday present!

Beckham is beautiful. I can't believe he is so "self-suffient" at only 2 lbs. My cup runneth over for you. :) ♥
